Civil Service LGBT Social, London

1 February. 6:00pm onwards. London (Bar Soho)

Our monthly socials are back for History Month. Join us at Bar Soho from 6:00pm and look out for the CSRA signs.


LGBT+ Superstars Show

1 February onwards. Wales (multiple sites)

The Welsh Government network, PRISM, will be launching their LGBT+ Superstars Campaign on 1 February 2018. PRISM will have a presence at Cardiff, Merthyr, Aberystwyth and Llandudno Junction to promote those individuals who make a difference every day.
 
These role models, all chosen by you, will include the famous, infamous, well-known, little known and those of multiple identities. They will be displayed across the Welsh Government estate during February as part of LGBT History Month.

HM Treasury LGBT Music Recital

7 February 2018. 1:00pm to 2:00pm. London (HM Treasury, Churchill Room).

The Treasury Music Society holds a regular series of lunchtime recitals in the Churchill Room at 100 Parliament Street. The next one, on Wednesday 7 February, is timed to coincide with LGBT History Month. The recital features musicians from the London Gay Symphony Orchestra – the oldest LGBT orchestra in the UK and one of only a handful in the world.

Non pass-holders should ideally arrange to be signed in by a colleague in the building. However there may also be room for a small number of people on the guest list – if you would like to try that option please email Music.Society@obr.gsi.gov.uk and they will do their best to squeeze you in.


Gender Diversity Matters

16 February 2018. 10:30am to 1:00pm Leeds (venue confirmed on registration).

The Gender Diversity Matters event is in partnership with DWP, Department of Health and Social Care, a:gender, and Leeds City Council. It will give participants an insight into Transgender and Intersex through engaging and moving stories shared by our guest speakers.

It will be in central Leeds on 16 Feb between 10:30am and 13:00am. The formal session is for one hour at 11:00 with informal networking available before and after.

Places can be booked by emailing Shelley Hardman or Jennifer Turner. Places are first come first served and a waiting list will be held.


Newish Year, Newish Look?

The Welsh Government network, PRISM, will launch their new look on 28 February 2018. They will have a stalls at Cardiff, Merthyr, Aberystwyth and Llandudno Junction for members to pick up our new promotional items.

What’s next for CSRA – event for Networks

1 March 2018. 10:00am to 11:30am. London (BEIS Conference Centre) with dial-in facilities available.

This event is for Civil Service LGBT network chairs and committee members. Join us to talk about what’s next for CSRA, and feedback on what you want to see the Civil Service focus on over the next year.
